Director of Communications and Marketing, Saint Elizabeth Community, Our Leadership

Hugh joined Saint Elizabeth Community in 2022 as Director of Communications and Marketing, bringing with him more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, most recently as Director of Communications for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. During his career, he served in similar roles with the YMCA of Greater Providence and Plan USA.

A lifelong Rhode Islander, Hugh is excited to be working for a dynamic organization which delivers critical services to the community by providing quality care to our aging friends and neighbors.

Outside of the office, Hugh sits on the Board of Directors of House of Hope CDC, an organization committed to addressing homelessness in Rhode Island with dignity and compassion. He previously served on the Boards of the Economic Progress Institute, Inspiring Minds and Youth Pride, Inc.

In 2021, Hugh graduated from Leadership Rhode Island as a member of the RHO II class. He has since been certified as a CliftonStrengths coach and believes it is a tool to encourage others to maximize their potential.

A freelance writer, Hugh contributes regularly to local publications. When he's not writing, he's reading, and when he's not reading, he's probably wishing he was reading. He lives with his dog, Zee, in a 100-year-old house that seems to always be in need of some attention.
