Saint Elizabeth Home has 34 short-term rehabilitation beds and a fully equipped gym. Patients often plan ahead by notifying our admissions coordinator of an upcoming surgery or advising of hospitalization and likelihood or need for a short-term rehabilitation stay.
Nursing and rehabilitation care helps patients gain strength, and improve stamina and often return home.
Rehab may be needed:
- after a hospitalization for a planned or unplanned surgery
- after an illness
- after an accident
Our Multi-disciplinary Care
A team of caregivers works together to provide care to short-term rehabilitation patients. Nursing and Therapy staff work together to help patients meet their goals following physician orders.
Rehabilitation staff includes:
- Physical Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Speech Therapists
Additionally, patients are supported and cared for by nursing staff consisting of RNs, LPNs, Med-Techs, and Certified Nurses’ Aides. Rehabilitation services are available seven days a week, and a plan of care is established by the team upon admission. Each length of stay varies pending individual patient needs, patient progress, and insurance coverage.
A dedicated rehabilitation gym with state of the art equipment provides space for patients:
- to recover and work on activities of daily living
- to build strength and endurance
- to reach goals
