Training & Staff Benefits

Following is an outline of some of the benefits offered within the Saint Elizabeth Community. Benefits are specific to the location, employee status and tenure. The Human Resource Director will provide detailed benefits during the hiring process.

  • For all employees working more than 20 hours per week, health and dental insurance is effective after 30 days of employment.

Flexible spending account for health insurance premiums, health care reimbursement and dependent care expenses (pre-tax accounts).

  • 60% of the cost of family health and dental insurance is paid for by The Saint Elizabeth Community for full-time employees and prorated for part-time employees who work more than 20 hours per week.
  • 3.0% of employees’ annual salaries are invested into a retirement plan after one year of employment.
  • $10,000 of fully paid life insurance is provided to eligible employees.
  • Paid holidays (plus one personal day off) is provided to full-time employees or prorated holiday pay for part-time employees.
  • Five PTO (personal time off) days for full-time employees, and prorated PTO for part-time employees.
  • Paid vacation time after one year of employment.
  • Tuition reimbursement.
  • RN / LPN Student Loan Repayment Program -- Saint Elizabeth Community will pay up to $200.00 per month of your student loan for full time employees. This amount will be prorated for part time employees who work 20 hours or more per week.
  • License fee reimbursement.
  • Employee referral bonus.
  • On-site child care (Saint Elizabeth Manor).
  • Subsidized child care for full-time employees (Saint Elizabeth Home).
  • Paid funeral leave.
  • Paid time for jury duty.

The Program Objective

The Fit to Care Program will strive to increase the well-being and productivity of all employees through the enhancement of all aspects of health.  The program seeks to increase awareness of positive health behaviors, to motivate employees to voluntarily adopt healthier behaviors and to provide opportunities and a supportive environment to foster positive lifestyle changes.

Saint Elizabeth Community Earns Worksite Health Award 

Saint Elizabeth Home and Saint Elizabeth Manor conduct training courses to prepare individuals to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).  These courses are offered periodically throughout the year. The course consists of classroom work and clinical experience. Course instructors work with students as mentors and tutors to prepare them for the state certification exam.

This training course is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain the confidence and skills they need to begin a career in the health care field. Many of the CNA's currently employed throughout Saint Elizabeth Community began as trainees through this program.
